Nordic defence procurement is run by FMV in Sweden, the Norwegian Defence Materiel Agency, DALO in Denmark and the Finnish Defence Forces Logistics Command. In the Baltics the Estonian Centre for Defence Investment and the Latvian and Lithuanian ministries buy for their forces. Below are their notices in our data.

How Nordics and Baltics buys defence
A region buying fast
All eight countries are now NATO members after Finland joined in 2023 and Sweden in 2024. Defence budgets have grown quickly and joint purchases are common, for example CV90 vehicles and air defence systems bought together by several countries.
How they publish
EU members publish on TED; Norway and Iceland publish through their national portals and TED as EEA members. The Estonian Centre for Defence Investment also runs joint procurements for the Baltic states.
Local industry
Saab, Kongsberg, Nammo, Patria, Terma and BAE Systems Hägglunds lead most programmes and buy from regional suppliers. Industrial cooperation requirements often favour suppliers in the buying country.
