Terms of service

These terms govern the use of the defencecontractors.com service, a subscription platform with procurement intelligence for the defence supply chain built from public sources. By creating an account you accept them, together with the privacy policy and the refund policy.

Last updated 14 October 2026

The service

The service is operated by the administrator of defencecontractors.com (contact: support@defencecontractors.com). It collects public procurement notices, contract awards, programme information and business signals, normalises them, matches them to the capability profiles of customers and delivers search, alerts, exports, briefings and, on Enterprise, an API.

The service is intended for businesses. You confirm that you use it on behalf of a company or another organisation.

Accounts

An account is created with an email address and a password and confirmed with a code sent to that address. You keep your password secret and are responsible for activity on your account. Seats are personal: each seat belongs to one named person.

Before buying a plan you can run one capability match on the home page. That one-time demo shows the first three results and is not a plan.

Plans and payment

  • Pro, Business and Enterprise are subscriptions billed monthly or yearly in US dollars, with VAT or sales tax added where it applies. They renew automatically until cancelled.
  • Payment is taken by card at checkout with bank authentication. Enterprise customers can switch to invoice payment afterwards in the billing portal.
  • Moving to a higher plan or from monthly to yearly billing charges the difference at once, and the new plan starts after that charge is paid. Moving to a lower plan takes effect without a refund.
  • Limits count usage within the billing period. Deleting a profile, an export or any other item does not restore a limit.
  • Payments are final, except in the cases listed in the refund policy.

Acceptable use

You may not resell or republish the data set as a whole or in substantial parts, scrape the service, share an account between people, try to break its security, use business contacts for unsolicited bulk messaging or for any purpose that breaks data protection law, or use the service to support activity that breaks sanctions or export control law.

Data and sources

Every record shows the public source and the date it was published. We do not store or provide classified information, export-controlled technical data or technical characteristics of weapons, and nothing we hold comes from behind the login of a procurement portal. Data from public sources can be incomplete or outdated; you must check the original notice before relying on a deadline, a value or a requirement.

Matches, scores and AI briefings are aids to judgement. Decisions to bid, team or invest remain yours.

Enterprise terms

Enterprise includes access to the data API within the monthly call limit, bulk files, single sign-on, an audit log, a data processing agreement available in the account and a service availability commitment of 99.9 percent per calendar month, excluding announced maintenance. If availability falls below that level, the customer may ask for a credit of 10 percent of that month's fee for each full percentage point below it, up to 50 percent.

Liability

The service is provided with reasonable care. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profit, lost contracts or indirect damage, and our total liability in any twelve months is limited to the fees paid for the service in that period. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending the agreement

You can cancel at any time in the billing portal; the plan stays active until the end of the paid period. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after a warning where the breach can be fixed.

Contact and law

Questions and complaints go to support@defencecontractors.com. These terms are governed by the law of the country where the administrator is established, and disputes go to the courts there, unless mandatory law gives you another forum.
