DoD contract database for defense suppliers with awards, incumbents and recompetes

DefenceContractors is a DoD contract database built for suppliers who sell to defense, not for researchers. It joins US awards with the buyer behind each one, the incumbent, the programme and the date the contract comes up for recompete, and extends the same view to UK MOD, NATO agencies and European defense ministries. Pro is $399 a month, and a one-time demo match on this page shows what your first alert would hold.

Where defense contract data lives and what each source leaves out

Government sources are the raw material and every serious tool, ours included, starts from them. The difference is the work between the raw record and a bid decision.

What a supplier needs from a contract database

Who bought, from whom, and when it ends

A list of awards is only useful if it answers three questions: which buyer is spending in your field, which incumbent holds the work, and when does it come back. We attach each award to a buyer page and a contractor page, and show the period of performance so recompetes can be planned.

Primes and the subcontractors behind them

Prime awards hide the supply chain. Subaward records show which small firms already work under a prime, which is where most new suppliers get in. See defense prime contractors for how to read them.

Outside the US in the same place

If you also sell to the UK MOD, NATO agencies or European ministries, the awards sit in the same database and the same alert, so you are not running two research jobs. See NATO tenders.

Turn the database into a pipeline in four steps

1. Describe what you make

Write each product line the way you would explain it to a buyer. Add NAICS, PSC or CPV codes if you use them.

2. Find the buyers and incumbents

Open the buyer and contractor pages that match your profile and note who holds the work and when it ends.

3. Turn on the alert

One scored email each morning with new notices, awards and recompetes. See government contract alerts.

4. Export your shortlist

Send the list to Excel or CSV for your CRM. Plans are on the pricing page.

Questions about a DoD contract database

Is there a DoD contract database?
Yes. The Department of Defense announces larger awards daily on defense.gov, USAspending.gov holds federal award records and SAM.gov holds notices. DefenceContractors joins those with buyers, incumbents and recompetes for suppliers who sell to defense.
Where can I find DoD contract awards?
Start with defense.gov daily announcements for large awards and USAspending.gov for the full federal record. For a defense-only view with incumbents, end dates and alerts in one place, a DefenceContractors plan starts at $399 a month.
Are DoD contracts public information?
Award data is public. Federal law requires agencies to report awards, and USAspending.gov publishes them. Classified work and some details are withheld. A paid tool adds scoring, alerts and recompetes on top of public records.
Does the database include UK and NATO contracts?
Yes. Awards and notices from the UK MOD, NATO agencies and European defense ministries sit next to US records, so one profile and one alert cover every market you sell to.
How is it different from the SAM.gov contract awards search?
SAM.gov covers every federal agency and relies on keyword searches. We read only defense buyers, tie each award to its buyer and incumbent, and score new notices against what you make. See the SAM.gov alternative page.
Is there a free plan?
There is no free plan. The form at the top of this page runs a one-time demo match on live notices so you can see what your first alert would contain.
